Bacterial Growth
| This photo demonstrates growth of bacteria after swabbing the plate in one direction only. Note the zones of inhibition surrounding the antibiotic-impregnated disks. When the bacterial growth is not uniform across the plate, it is difficult to measure the zone of inhibition or diameter to get an accurate reading, thus illustrating the importance of proper swabbing technique. |
