| Title | Eco-Tour '96/Biome Studies |
| Audience | Integrated Science, Biology, Life Science, Environmental Studies |
| Abstract | Teams of students are asked to work as companies to develop travel brochures for a large ecotourism business. The companies must have tours from a variety of representative biomes. Each student develops a ten-day itinerary in which participants travel through an area without using motorized vehicles. The emphasis is placed on describing the highlights of the journey as an experience in the biome. Students produce an illustrated brochure to describe their trip. This has been tested in 9th grade Integrated Science classes. No special materials are needed. |
