| Title | Secret Lives of Nematodes |
| Audience | Grades 8-14 |
| Abstract | In this activity, students look for insect-killing nematodes in the soil. Students collect soil samples, "bait" the soil with living insects, then monitor what happens. The insects may die, and some of them may have been killed by nematodes. To test if they were killed by nematodes, students set up a "nematode harvester" and after 1-2 weeks, nematodes may emerge from the dead insect and swim into water. |
