Bancairn and Smith, plus seamen Addams, Bancairn, Canby, Carlotto, Davies,
Folkes, Grigg, Harper, Jakkelson, Jones, McAvoy, O'Shaughnessy, Pierce,
Quilter, Riordan, Setterly, Tabot, Wylie, Yates, plus civilians Mrs Torvey,
Miss Torvey, and maid Byers.

The extreme cold has entirely protected
our stores from losses due to insects and rodents.
Due to shortage of rum, grog rations
have been reduced to 7/8 water. By permission of the doctor, lime juice
cut in half as well.

To keep morale high, the Captain
has ordered, and the doctor has agreed, that aquavit from the medicine
chest be added to grog in greater and greater proportions to supplement
our failing supply of rum.
