Why did she join the Mars Flight Simulation? "To be cooped up in my own little world for months on end may not sound exciting to most people, but to me it sounded like heaven. I was very excited to apply for the project and overjoyed when I was selected."

What got her interested in science? "My interest has always been people - what makes them happy. I found out in high school that science was the best way to help us people live happily in our world."
