"I scraped at least two dozen stingers out of your arms," you go on.
"Your knife hilt was fuzzy with them."
"They go for dark spots," Jorge says. "Like the eyes."
"They didn't sting your eyes," you say to Abel, "because you had the
hat and gloves on. I found them in your tent. After I brought them back
to the lab, we found we had two complete beekeeper outfits."
"That is because you took them from the lab, didn't you?" Jorge asks.
"When you came to kill the bees."
"Why did you do it?" Mosca asks. His voice is soothing. "Was it for
the money? You can tell us."
Abel blinks. Again the cameras and microphones creep close to their
prey.
"I
didn't do it for the money," he begins, and then all the lights go out.
