Enzyme Action: Testing Catalase Activity
Plots
Make a series of plots to illustrate your results.
Enzyme concentration plot
1. Using Graphical Analysis or by hand, make a graph of Rate of
Enzyme Activity vs. Enzyme Concentration. The rate values should
be plotted on the y axis, and the number of drops of enzyme on
the x axis. The rate values are the same as the slope values in
your data table. The four rate values are listed next to the 1
Drop, 2 Drops, 3 Drops, and 4 Drops labels.
Temperature plot
2. Make a graph of Rate of Enzyme Activity vs. Temperature. The
rate values should be plotted on the y axis, and the temperature
on the x axis. The rate values are the same as the slope values
in your data table.
pH plot
3. Make a graph of pH vs. Rate. The Rate values should be plotted
on the y axis, and the pH on the x axis. The rate values are the
same as the slope values in your data table.
