Experiment or Investigation

The experiment or investigation entry will have student designed parts based upon student/teacher discussions. This entry should show that the student has worked independently and gone beyond the directions. It should include procedures, partner or group work, and applications to real-world situations, as well as independent discussion and conclusions. Review the entry requirements for complete details.

Research

The research activity will based upon a student generated question. This should show the depth to which the student has investigated a unique question using the resources of the school library, and other sources. Footnotes and references are required. This entry presents a scientific concept using music, art, poetry, video or another medium. It is important to note that an outstanding appearance or display of work is not sufficient.
