Ladder at Gombak.  Early attempts by researchers to gain observational access to the canopy world included the use of tree platforms. The ladder on the trunk of this tree leads to a platform over 100 feet above the ground. The disadvantage of tree platforms is that they are stationary and offer limited canopy access.
